Hi All

For several years I have been unable to use the facility in outlook
2003/2007 to "download headers" or "on slow connections download headers".
The full message would be downloaded irrespective of the setting in outlook.
I had pretty much given up as I had been unable to get a response from
Outlook newsgroups or find anything on the web. I recently saw a similar
issue caused by an outlook addin and by a process of elimination have
determined it is CRM for outlook with offline access addin. Setting the
addin to online or offline makes no difference but disabling this addin
enables outlook to work as it should.

I am on version 4 of CRM and have recently upgrade the server and client
with version 5 rollup.

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there might be a work
around.

Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

I am having this same problem and a customer threatens to throw the system out because it uses too much of their bandwidth on the VPN.

Did you ever find a solution on this?

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul-

I am interested in learning more about this issue. Are you saying that with
the CRM v4 add-in enabled that Outlook no longer functions correctly by
respecting the setting to "download headers only"?

Does this happen for all e-mails then, or just CRM e-mails?

Can you please e-mail me directly as I am not in these public newsgroups
often.

sdieken at microsoft.com

Thanks!
