Hello All,

When in the account record and wanting to add "An Existing" contact, I click
on contacts and then I click the add existing contact. If I type Jim Smith,
I get 10, but I want to also display the state in the available records list,
how does one add that column. I tried making state recommended and required
on the contact record, but that does not do the trick. I remember doing that
years ago in 3.0, but I don't recall how to do that in 4.0?

Thanks

Go to customise entities, choose Contact, go to "forms and views" and
customise the "<Contacts> Lookup view".
You can customise which columns to show in the results view ("view
columns"), and which columns are to be searched for the text you enter
as a search ("find columns").

You can also choose a field to use for the sort order of displayed results.

As you have discovered, making fields recommended or required does not
change what appears in any of the views.

Hope this helps

Hi e,

You can't add columns to a multi-select lookup (those lookups where you can
select more than one value on the left and push it over to the right) view
unfortunately.

Changing the Contacts Lookup view will only change it for single-select lookups.
