Import pick field

I am importing data from a csv file to CRM 4.0. I am having trouble with a
pick fields. Do I have to use their index number? And if so, how can I look
at them.

You can use text. But you typically need to make sure all of those
text values exist in CRM in the field you are importing into. The
method varies slightly depending on what tool you are using Tools /
Data Import (and whether you are using Live or OnPremise, there are
diffs there), or if you are using the Data Migration Manager, then you
have to create a Data Map that maps the picklist fields. As always,
start small - in this case, one record with two or three fields...
