Have Workflows that are hung and need to cancel

I am in the process of upgrading from CRM 3.0 to 4.0 and find that
very early in the original installation several workflows were
implemented that had errors and have created about 30,000 bad
processes that I can't seem to get rid of.

Does anyone know how to cancel and purge these? I have run the purge
process script from the Optimization Manual.

Hi Al,

Not sure if this helps, but have you tried stopping the Asynchronous
(spelling?) service on the server? This runs workflow actions.
