Trouble with Task Dates - Due Date and Start Date

Greetings,

I have come to discover that I have a problem with the Due date and the
Start date on a task.

When I enter a date into one, it fills in the other. If I delete one, it
delets the other.

I have looked into the entity XML and the customizations and I can't find
how these are tied together.

I even have a workflow from a quote where I take the due date from the quote
and apply it to the due date of a task created in the workflow. When I open
the task, the start date is already filled out with the same date.

Thanks for the help.

If start date is empty, it will be filled in to match due date when the
record is created.
If start date is already filled in, it does not do this.
If a record is later edited to change the due date, the start date
remains unchanged (unless you deliberately change it yourself). This
gives an indication of when you originally intended to do the job.

Hope this helps
