I have a message from my antivirus software reporting a virus
'HEUR/Exploit.HTML in file INPUT.text.url[1].htc in the temporary internet
files directory.

Is this a known virus? What to do about it?

Check if the file matches the file with the same name (minus the [1]) on
your CRM install CD. If not, then perhaps. If so, then no.

HEUR/Exploit.HTML, as its name suggests, is not a known virus, but rather a
heuristic to look for potential scripting exploits. Heuristics can
certainly fail with a false positive. If you have verified that the file
is unchanged from the original CRM CD, you should send the file to the
antivirus company, explain what happened, and ask them to update their
algorithms.

Just out of curiosity, which antivirus software is this?
