CRM 4.0 install failure on SBS2008

I'm trying to install CRM 4.0 on a SBS2008 box as a fall back to the issues
I'm having on the Server 2003 box. I'm running into the error below, which
I've discovered other SBS2008 admins are running into. How should we proceed?

I'm installing Dynamics CRM onto a new SBS 2008 server and it all installs
except for the index service which gives me the following error:

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (checkbase.cpp:CCheckBase::Action:315).

I've tried to Google this but get no results.

messages are listed? What was CRM's install action prior to the error?

The error message "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" is too generic, please

Here is what I found from a https://community.dynamics.com/forums/t/9812.aspx

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is not currently supported in an IPv6 only environment. During
the install of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 you must use Network Service as the Service
Account or the installation will fail.

The following Windows Server 2008 Server roles need to be installed:

- Static Content role service (Included in the Web Server (IIS) role)

- Dynamic Content Compression role service (Included in the Web Server (IIS) role)

- Windows Authentication IIS role service (Included in the Web Server (IIS) role)

- Compatibility Components role service (Included in the Web Server (IIS) role)

- Indexing Service (Included in the File Services role)

Since the failure is on the Index Services installation level. You may want to post your
question on SBS forums to see they have a resolution.

unfortunately that answer isn't correct. I am using ipv4 not ipv6. ipv6 is
enabled but is not in use at this time. So the ipv6 only angle isn't correct.

I am having this problem as well, I am using ipv4 on a 64bit Windows 2008 server and have added Application Server, File Server and Web Server as roles for this machine.

unfortunately that answer is not correct. I am using ipv4 not ipv6. ipv6 is
enabled but is not in use at this time. So the ipv6 only angle is not correct.
