Outlook Crm Client (online) : When people click TRACK IN CRM they get this
message:

You do not have enough privileges to access the microsoft crm object to
perform the requested operation. For more information, contact you system
admin. Do you want to send the e-mail? If you click yes, the e-mail will be
sent out, but no
correspondening activity will be created in MS CRM.

Does this have something to do with their roles?
If so, what security setting is wrong in the role ??

Do the users have append to privilages for the entity they are trying to
track against. If they don't they won't have access to track against.

Yes, that's the strange thing. They have append to privileges (business unit)
for the entity. It looks like track in crm uses some kind of object that
those users can't access. Me, when i change my security to their roles, i
don't have this problem.

All these users are laptop users (online client).

Quick guess is that they don't have read privilege on Queue.

Yes, we have multiple business units.

The problem always occurs when the person mails to other crm users.
In the regarding field there's an account where he's the owner.

We're having the same issue (CRM 4.0 desktop client). It's only with certain
users. Others with the same role are working fine.

Agree w/ Julian on this
Currently running Office 2007/CRM 4.0 client and receive the following
message:
"The logged-on user does not have the appropriate security permissions to
view these records or perform the specific action...."
This was resolved by setting enabling Queue read privilege only.
